Ramaciotti Centre for Gene Function Analysis
The Ramaciotti Centre for Gene Function Analysis has been established as a cooperative venture between five universities and five research institutes in the in the Sydney-Newcastle region. It has excellent, newly refurbished laboratory facilities and equipment for production and use of microarrays, DNA sequencing, real-time PCR, colony picking and high throughput robotics. It also has access to the entire set of yeast gene deletion strains. Through our partners there is excellent access to facilities for proteomics, high resolution mass spectrometry and cell and molecular imaging.

Centre for Marine Biofouling & Bioinnovation
This Centre is focussed on understanding how chemical signals mediate the ecology, physiology and molecular biology of organisms, and the subsequent application of this knowledge to novel biotechnologies.
Commercial application of this research aims to find "green" solutions for antifouling and biocontrol.

The Microbiology Culture Collection
Providing cultures for education, research and industry.
