  • Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (CL), a late-onset nerve degenerative disease like Batten Disease in humans.
  • Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome (TNS) in border collies, an immune deficiency from birth caused by deficiency in circulating neutrophils.
  • Parentage testing using 20 ISAG markers that are internationally recognised and used testing set that allows comparison between dogs tested in Europe and Australia. This lab participates in ISAG comparison testing of international labs.

Future Testing Developments

The Wilton lab is continuing to research canine diseases for which the gene has been located but not identified.

Additionally, the lab is also initiating research to identify the location of genes in other diseases. Samples are actively being collected for gene mapping work for these projects.
