A start-up company for the commercialisation of furanone-based
and related technologies

In 1999 a separate company Biosignal Pty Ltd was established to act as a vehicle for commercialisation of selected “smart molecules” identified in the Centres’ research activities. The company has an ongoing relationship with the Centre. In addition to the University and Unisearch, a number of CMBB personnel are shareholders in the company, reflecting their contributions to the technology development process. Mr Michael Oredsson is CEO of Biosignal and Mr Rohan McDougall is General Manager. Professor Kjelleberg and Associate Professor Steinberg are on Biosignal’s Board of Directors.
