Honours Dates and Deadlines
Clear guidelines are provided concerning the supervisor's role in preparing the thesis. Students and supervisors will receive the guidelines when the student commences Honours in Week 1. Supervisors should provide input at all stages of a student's preparation of seminars.
Students commencing Honours in Semester 1 2013

| 4 - 8 March | BABS Honours Orientation Week |
| 22 March | Short presentation of research plans (Supervisor coordinates time and place with their laboratory) |
| 26 April | Literature review submission (graded by supervisor feedback; grading scheme A, B, C, D, E) |
| 13 May | Written summaries from supervisors (include feedback on research plans and literature review) |
| 14 Aug | Practice thesis due (4 copies; supervisor coordinates grading with Assessment Committee; grading scheme A, B, C, D, E) |
| 22 August - 6 September |
Assessment Committee meets to interview student and determine practice thesis grade (supervisor/student coordinate time and place) |
| 6 September | Deadline for submission of practice thesis grade |
| 26 - 27 September | Final seminar on project (supervisors attend all seminars) |
| 30 October | 12 noon: Submission date for thesis (4 copies, distribution coordinated by School) |
| 8 - 18 November | Final oral interviews (Assessment Committee - supervisor/student coordinate time and place) |
| 18 November | Deadline for submission of thesis grade forms |
