Research Facilties within BABS
A comprehensive range of facilities is available to researchers within BABS, UNSW and elsewhere. In particular, the following services are maintained:
- UNSW Recombinant Products Facility for the preparation of high-quality expression systems and their products.
- UNSW Microbiology Culture Collection can supply strains and storage solutions for researchers.
- Single-Cell Analysis Facility (SCAF) has sophisticated equipment for cell enumeration and sorting.
- Ramaciotti Centre for Gene Function Analysis provides DNA sequence analysis, gene-chip technology and a number of other genomic services.
- Canine Genetics Facility provides DNA testing for some diseases found in Border Collies.
- Faculty of Science Biological Workshop has services for custom furniture and equipment manufacture and repair.
