Program Outline
Students undertake a research project supervised by a member of academic staff, depending on the availability of supervisory staff, laboratory and financial resources.
Research areas include: Helicobacter pylori and gastroduodenal disease, immunology of allergic responses, environmental microbiology and remediation, microbiology of extremophiles, water-borne viral pathogens, probiotics, molecular microbiology and genomics, bacterial communication systems, marine microbiology and biotechnology.
