UNSW Postgraduate Scholarships UNSW has a variety of scholarships. Listed below are those that are most likely to be of interest to BABS post-graduates.

AusAID Scholarships The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) provides Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) for international students from selected countries. The terms and conditions governing the ADS scheme are developed and revised on an annual basis by the home country and Australian Government. The type of assistance varies from country to country. Details are available from the Australian Embassy or the High Commission in your home country. Applications may close as early as January or February for study in the following year.
You are also advised to contact the Ministry of Education in your own country about any financial assistance that may be available from that source.
The Lin Chun Memorial Scholarship (I,R,C)
· Up to $1000 p.a.
· One year The scholarship is established to encourage Taiwanese students to undertake postgraduate study at UNSW. Each applicant will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and personal qualities (for example, extra-curricular activities, leadership skills and community work, and potential to contribute to the wider life of the University). Consideration will also be given to financial need.
Applications close March 31.
Adrian Lee Travel Scholarship
Four scholarships worth A$5,000 each are awarded every year to students enrolled in a BABS postgraduate research program. Students may use the award to meet travel costs and living expenses associated with overseas collaborative projects. Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds Travel Scholarships Program URL: http://www.bifonds.de/travel/travel.htm The sponsor awards travel allowances to pre-and post-doctoral scientists of any nationality. European citizens are supported in Europe and overseas, non-European citizens are supported when working in Europe.
Ph.D. students should not be older than thirty years and post-doctorate scientists should not be over thirty-two years at the time of application. Participation in conferences, symposia and workshops is
not sponsored. Travel allowances are awarded for a maximum of three months. Deadline(s): Open
