Future Graduate Diploma Students

Program Objectives

The BABS Graduate Diploma program is aimed at graduates from either local or overseas universities who wish to obtain specialist training in a particular area of Science. The Graduate Diploma is usually recommended as a qualification course for entry into the Master of Science by research and PhD programs if the applicant does not possess an Honours degree.

A Graduate Diploma is worth 48 Units of Credit and runs for two semesters. It consists of a research project (36 UC) and two courses (6 UC each). Mid-year entry is permitted for Graduate Diploma programs.

If students have obtained an above-credit average for their Science degree, an alternative to a Graduate Diploma is the MPhil (BABS).

Entrance Requirements

Completion of a Bachelor degree.  Entrance for students whose first language is not English is dependent on them meeting the specified UNSW English language requirements.
