Future Graduate Diploma Students
Program Objectives
The BABS Graduate Diploma program is aimed at graduates from either local or overseas universities wishing to obtain specialist training in a particular area of science. This program is usually recommended as a qualification pathway for entry into the Master of Science by Research or PhD program if the applicant does not possess an Honours degree.
A Graduate Diploma is worth 48 Units of Credit and runs for two semesters. It consists of a research project (36 UC) and two courses (6 UC each). Mid-year entry is permitted for the BABS Graduate Diploma.
Entrance Requirements
Completion of a Bachelor degree. Entrance for students whose first language is not English is dependent on them meeting the specified UNSW English language requirements.

Alternative to Graduate Diploma
For students who have obtained an above-credit average for their Science Degree, an alternative to the BABS Graduate Diploma is the MPhil (BABS).
