Scaffolds for Stem Cell Growth in Microgravity

A variety of cells have demonstrated different growth behaviour when cultivated under conditions of microgravity. This is of particular importance for stem cells where gravity can influence morphology, proliferation and other factors.

This project will focus on the development of a wound scaffolding device to support tissue regeneration and investigate its influence on stem cell growth and cycle under conditions of microgravity. Skills employed will include bioprocessing and stem cell cultivation and analysis, including proteomic profiling.
