Suggested guidelines for talks:
For a first year talk, 15 minutes should be devoted to introducing your topic plus 5 minutes for any results. There will be 5 minutes for questions.
For second and subsequent 20 minute talks, 5 minutes should introduce the topic, 15 minutes for results, 5 minutes for questions. You should also include one or two slides on future directions - this will be used in your annual review.
The 40 minute talks should be in the style of a School seminar.
Immediately after your talk, your annual review will take place.
