Research Description:

Research in this laboratory is concerned with the application of plant tissue culture to plant biotechnology and plant molecular biology. Plant tissue culture is an important tool in modern plant biology whose commercial applications include clonal micropropagation and the synthesis of plant chemicals. It is a necessary component of plant genetic engineering and it is also useful in the study of more basic problems in plant biochemistry.
