BABSOC Student Society

Students in BABS have the benefit of an active and progressive student society, BABSOC (Biotechnology and Biomolecular Science Students Society), a student-managed society that represents all BABS students.

The society caters for more than 2,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and holds formal and informal events aimed at enhancing the student experience. It promotes a sense of community within the School and provides an opportunity for students to develop and expand a close professional network. The aim is to share an interest and passion for research and development, entrepreneurship, and innovation and commercialisation of science, while also bringing the UNSW community together through social events.

All students taking undergraduate or postgraduate BABS courses are automatically members of BABSOC. An executive team is elected each year - here are the 2018 members of the team:
