Novel Therapies for Angiosarcoma

Angiosarcoma, a tumour of the inner lining of the blood vessels, is a rare but often fatal condition with current treatment regimens showing limited efficacy. In dogs, hemangiosarcoma affects up to 20% of certain breeds, and shows highly similar pathology to angiosarcoma. This offers a unique disease model for the development of novel treatments for this condition. This project will use high throughput drug screening and next-generation sequencing technologies, as well as cell health and survival assays, to identify novel therapies for both dogs and humans.
